Apa Itu Most Probable Number (MPN)?

Most Probable Number atau MPN adalah sebuah metode statistik yang digunakan dalam mikrobiologi untuk mengestimasi jumlah bakteri yang ada dalam sebuah sampel. Metode ini menjadi sangat penting terutama dalam konteks pengujian kualitas air, di mana keberadaan bakteri tertentu, seperti bakteri Coliform dan E. coli, dapat menandakan adanya kontaminasi feses yang berpotensi membahayakan kesehatan manusia.

Bakteri Coliform
